Think about it

I came across this little gem of wisdom today on a listserv I'm on.

The moon is more important than the sun. That's because the moon shines at night when it is needed.

  1. But without the sun we would die.

    Okay, I get the point.

    Have a terrific day. :)

  2. That's ridiculous. The moon only reflects the sun and without the sun we would be in perpetual night and, needless to say, we would not have come into existence. I did read once that the Germanic tribes worshipped the moon because they hunted at night. Perhaps the person you quoted does too??
