Dear my customer
The fish suppliers has increased their cost incredibly high, we regret to inform you that we have no choice to raise our fish price for continuous service.
Thank you for understanding.
I'm sorry, what? I don't understand. Could you repeat that?
Yeah, if you get a translation I'd like to know what it is????? Sounds like your day has been a bit like mine -- weird!
ReplyDeleteNope, have to pass on that one! Could almost write a nonsense verse from it, though.
ReplyDeleteI think they were lying.
ReplyDeleteBasically about everything.
The note was addressed to his/her one single customer, so maybe the intended understood it perfectly.
ReplyDeleteWV:Beriti (the tiny almost inedibly sour blueberries in your carton)
How do they stay in business with only one customer?
ReplyDeleteHee Hee! I wonder if English is that wordsmith's first language?
ReplyDeleteAlmost every day I have to pass a gas station/grocery which advertises "pie's" (sic). I often wonder if I should go in and set them straight about the apostrophe.
Wow. Now that was truly piteous.
ReplyDeletePearl
Well, his one customer now knows that the fishes (sic) are more expensive to catch and serve!
ReplyDeleteHey Bee.
ReplyDeleteI'd say no. Because then you'd have to explain what an apostrophe is.
Only, Simplicity, if they serve them continuously,
ReplyDeleteUm, what does that say about me Grandpa. I read it as,
ReplyDeleteIf you want to keep buying fish its going to cost you more because it is costing us more. English as a second language must be difficult. Well, at least that is my excuse....
I understood it. I taught English for so long to students whose first language was English, but not so much! (sigh)
ReplyDeleteHi, Lilly. Hi, Joy.
ReplyDeleteThe message isn't really that hard to understand, I know. What I don't understand, though, is why someone in business wouldn't bother to ask someone who is a native (or at least fluent) speaker about the sign before hanging it. It says something about how much care they take in what they do.
I'm sorry. I does not understand you. Please repeata.
